The TAI admin allows you to configure some basic settings for the chatbot. To do so, login to the TAI admin and click on the Settings link available on the left navigation panel. You will be directed to the Settings screen, as shown below:
Do note that chatbot settings are instance specific, incase you have more than one instance available for your account, you would need to select an instance whose settings you would like to view or update. This can be done by selecting a instance name from the drop-down on the top navigation. Selecting an instance will cause the settings screen to be updated with the settings of the selected instance.
You can manage the following settings:
- Welcome message: A default welcome message will be generated and shown, you can edit this. Once you have made the necessary changes click on the Update button for the changes to take effect. This welcome message is shown within the chatbot when a chat session has been initiated.
- Theme: You can set the UI theme of the chatbot to light or dark or to a theme that adapts to your system theme. Once you have chosen your theme, click on the Apply button for your changes to take effect. Do note that the option to customize the theme would be available based on your subscription plan. In case you do not see this option, you would need to upgrade to a higher plan.
- Prompts: You can choose to have upto 5 default prompts appear within the chatbot under the popular topics section. These prompts are commonly asked questions that customers can use to start a conversation with TAI. You can check/un-check prompts to choose them; you can also edit the text of the prompts, if desired. Read all about how you can manage prompts. In case you opt to have these prompts displayed, please test it out via the Try it Now screen to make sure that responses are available for the selected prompts.
