The TAI chatbot knowledge base allows for rich media to be uploaded and associated within individual data blocks. This rich media is also referred to Meta Data and can be either Text or File. Meta data is something that provides more details on the information being added e.g. you could add an instruction manual or some references/source information about the data block. The difference between additional information and meta data is that additional information is something that the chatbot processes and responds to based on the question asked. Meta data is shown as it has been entered on this screen. Based on the query to the chatbot it will identify the meta data that is to be shown and display it below its response.
To add or manage meta data, you need to login to the TAI admin and click on the Add Data link from the left navigation panel. You will be directed to the Additional Info screen.
From this screen, select the instance whose data you want to view or manage. Now scroll down to the Additional Info listing section, herein all data that has been added to the knowledge base of the selected instance will be displayed.
Each data record has the option to Add Text or File Meta data to it. Clicking on the Text or File buttons will open corresponding popups wherein the relevant meta data can for the selected data can be added/managed. A count of the meta data that is available will be displayed on the top of the buttons.
Text Metadata
The Text Metadata popup will display all the text metadata that has been added. You can edit/delete existing text meta data or you can add new meta data.
To add new metadata, click on the Add Metadata button and fill-out the details in the form that opens up.
In the form:
1. Enter Metadata name: In this field, you can enter a short descriptive text for the meta data e.g. Read this Instruction Manual or Reference Sources. Do note that this text would be displayed as-is when it appears in a chat response.
2. Enter Metadata Value: In this field, you can enter the data that is to be shown against the name e.g. you could enter a URL to the instruction manual or link to a YouTube video or source material name etc. This will be displayed below the metadata name. In case you add a URL to a website or a PDF then when these are displayed in the chat responses, customers can click to open them in a new window.
3. Enter Metadata Description: In this field, you can enter the text that provides greater description about the metadata. This is only used by the chatbot get context about the metadata. This text is not used in chatbot responses. The description can be typed in or you could use the speech to text option to have your voice transcribed and added to the description textbox. To speak, click on the microphone button; the microphone will be initiated and you can start speaking. Click on stop to have your voice transcribed and added to the description field.
Once all the fields have been filled out, click on the Submit button. The metadata will be saved and will be added to the grid. You can edit or delete text meta data from the listing.
File Metadata
The File Metadata popup will display all the files that have been added as metadata. You can edit/delete existing file metadata or you can add new file metadata.
To add new metadata, click on the Add File Metadata button and fill-out the details in the form that opens up.
In the form:
1.Upload File: You can choose to upload an image, video or PDF. Select the relevant option and then click on the Choose File button to browse your file system and select the file that is to be uploaded. The file will be displayed within the chat response. PDF will open in a new window, image thumbnails will be displayed within the chat and videos will be embedded within the chat.
2. Enter Metadata name: In this field, you can enter a short descriptive text for the meta data e.g. Read this Instruction Manual or Watch this Video. Do note that this text would be displayed as-is when it appears in a chat response.
3. Enter Metadata Description: In this field, you can enter the text that provides greater description about the metadata. This is only used by the chatbot get context about the metadata.
