Sync Categories

You can navigate to this screen by choosing the Tellofy AI -> Data Sync -> Categories menu option.

This screen will allow you to add/remove categories from being synced to the chatbot knowledgebase in Tellofy AI. NOTE: Since categories are not store view specific, they would be synced to all chatbot instances available in your Tellofy AI account.

All categories available in your store will be listed on the screen. If you have opted to import categories at the time of setting up your account, then the Selected status for the categories will be shown as Yes. This indicates that the categories will be synced to Tellofy. If the Selected status is No, it indicates that the corresponding category will not be synced to Tellofy.

Adding Categories to Tellofy AI: To add categories, select specific or all categories and then choose the Add Selected to TAI option from the Actions drop-down.

The selected categories will be added to the category sync queue to be added to Tellofy AI when the CRON is executed (this can be at a scheduled interval/time or can be executed manually for data to be instantly added to Tellofy AI). The Selected status of these categories will be set to Yes. Once categories have been added to Tellofy AI, customers can ask and receive answers pertaining to them, within the chatbot.

Categories need to be added to Tellofy AI only once; post being added, category data will be re-synced only when they have been modified.

Removing Categories from Tellofy AI: To remove categories, select all/specific categories that have a Selected status of Yes. Now, choose the Remove Selected from TAI option from the Actions drop-down. These categories will be added to the delete category sync queue and will be deleted from Tellofy AI end when the CRON is executed (either at the scheduled time or executed manually to delete data immediately). The Selected status of these categories will be set to No. Once categories have been deleted their details would not be available to customers within the chatbot.
